Chicken Manchurian With Egg Fried Rice

Ingredients for Chicken Manchurian:

  • 500g boneless chicken cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup cornflour
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

For the sauce:

  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 capsicum, finely chopped
  • 3-4 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cornflour mixed with 1/4 cup water
  • Salt to taste

For Egg Fried Rice:

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 capsicum, chopped
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste

Chicken Manchurian With Egg Fried Rice


  1. In a bowl, mix together the chicken pieces, cornflour, all-purpose flour, egg, ginger garlic paste, and salt to taste. Mix well until the chicken is coated with the batter.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken pieces and fry until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add a little oil and sauté the onion, capsicum, and green chilies until they are soft.
  4. Add soy sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, sugar, and salt to taste. Mix well and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Add the cornflour mixed with water and stir well until the sauce thickens.
  6. Add the fried chicken pieces to the sauce and mix well until the chicken is coated with the sauce.
  7. For the egg fried rice, heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it turns golden brown.
  8. Add the chopped capsicum and sauté for a few minutes.
  9. Beat an egg in a separate bowl and add it to the pan. Scramble the egg until it is fully cooked.
  10. Add the cooked rice to the pan and mix well. Add salt to taste.
